Polar Applying the Polar effect allows you to convert your image from polar coordinates to rectangular coordinates, and vice-versa. It creates an odd warping effect. Converting from rectangular to polar will wrap the image around the center into a circle. Converting from polar to rectangular coordinates will cause the image to be stretched upward and bent in half. Settings   Transformation You can perform 2 different warping transformations. “Polar To Rectangular Coordinates” will appear to cut your video clip down the middle, and rotate the 2 halves 90°, and put them back together. The “Rectangular to Polar Coordinates” transformation wraps your video clip into a circle around the center of the frame. Believe it or not, these two transformations are the opposite of each other. Performing one and then the other will get you your original movie back! See the Tips and Tricks section for some other interesting ideas. Quality There are 2 quality settings. If you are displaying the clip live or running on a slower computer, the “Faster” setting allows you to display the effect quickly, but with slightly lower quality. If you are rendering your effect to a file, or just want the higher quality, the “Better Looking” setting produces nicer output, but takes longer.
